Who are we?
Sports Connection is a subsidiary of the American footwear brand Skechers, and we manage all sales and distribution of Skechers in the Nordic countries.
We operate Skechers concept stores in the Nordics and in Northern Germany, and Skechers online stores in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
Our products are also distributed through a strong wholesale footprint, of more than 1,600 dealers within the shoe business, sports business and in selected online stores.
We are more than 400 dedicated and shoe-loving employees. Our headoffice is in Esbjerg, Denmark and we have subsidiaries in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Germany.

Founded in Bramming by Peter and Marianne Jørgensen. Focus on sales in Denmark.
Collaboration entered with Japanese Mizuno, regarding sales of running shoes and football boots.
Takeover of Gørding Skofabrik (shoe factory) and the shoe brand Flexi. Focus on all of Scandinavia.
Exclusive agreement signed with Skechers, for sales in all Nordic countries.
Opening of the first Skechers concept store in Odense, Denmark.
Full focus on one brand: Conversion to selling 100% Skechers.
Opening of own online stores: www.skechers.dk and www.skechers.se.
We are awarded our first Gazelle in Denmark and Norway.
The number of employees increase by 118% in just one year, when 42 colleagues increase to 118.
We grow out of our buildings in Bramming and relocate our headquarter to Esbjerg.
Skechers USA acknowledges us with the “Distributor of the Year” award.
We reach 1 million pairs sold in one year! (actually 1,250,000 pairs).
Expansion to Germany, with the opening of Skechers Europa Passage in Hamburg.
Sports Connection celebrates its 25th Anniversary.
Agreement signed with Shoe-d-Vision to open 150 shop-in-shops in Denmark and Norway.
We open Europe’s largest Skechers store of 850 m² in our hometown Esbjerg, Denmark.
Opening of Skechers concept store no. 50 in Jumbo Shopping Centre in Helsinki, Finland.
We expand the management which thus consists of owner/CEO Peter Jørgensen, Rikke Knudsen, CFO and Brian Knudsen, COO.
Sports Connections owners, Marianne & Peter Jørgensen is awarded the Business Award 2022 at Business Esbjergs New Year’s event.
